HAKAN FİDAN
Graduated from Army Forces Signal Corps School and Army Forces Language School, Hakan Fidan completed most of his academic accomplishments during his tenure in Turkish Armed Forces. He completed his undergraduate study in University of Maryland University College in Politics and Management Department during his foreign NATO assignment. Fidan subsequently received master’s and doctorate degrees from Bilkent University International Relations Department. Focusing on his academic career following his service in Turkish Armed Forces, Fidan gave lectures on International Relations at Bilkent and Hacettepe Universities.
Fidan was appointed to critical duties at state administration in foreign policy and security fields. He served as Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TİKA) Director, Premiership Deputy Undersecretary for Foreign Policy and Security, International Atomic Energy Agency Board Member, Special Representative of the Prime Minister, National Intelligence Organization Deputy Undersecretary, National Intelligence Organization Undersecretary/Director, and Special Representative of the President respectively.
After the second round of presidential elections held on 28 May 2023, he was appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
