DETERMINATION OF THE PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS AND THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CANDIDATES

1. Determination of the Personnel Requirements

The scope of activities of the National Intelligence Organization requires personnel with diverse academic backgrounds and capabilities.

The Organization, in order to carry out activities in an effective manner, needs not only Intelligence Officers, but also Computer Experts, Engineers, Technicians, Technical Analysts and Translators.

The Organization implements its personnel policy with a view to accomplish its targets of improvement in a planned manner. Within this framework, exam announcements are occasionally made through our Web page to reach the most favorable persons for the tasks given. In addition, these announcements are also made through other communication channels when the need arises.

In case of need, personnel other than those needed for the branches specified in announcements are also employed. The personnel requirement in those branches which are not notified through announcements is met by means of evaluating the Application Forms mailed to our application address.

Candidates are informed about the results by e-mail or post.

2. The Qualifications of Candidates

Candidates who are to be employed in our Organization must have the following qualifications:

- Meeting the general requirements provided for in article 48 of the Civil Servants’ Law no. 657,

- Having no drawbacks to be appointed in accordance with the regulations of the Undersecretariat of the National Intelligence Organization (approval of the Undersecretariat is a must),

- As of the first day of the month of January of the year that the exams are given, being not older than the age of 28 for those who graduated from a junior technical college; being not older than the age of 30 for those who graduated from Faculties and institutes of higher education with 4 years of education; being not older than the age of 32 for those who have completed their post-graduate studies in their own branches; and being not older than the age of 34 for those who have completed their doctoral studies in their own branches,

- It is essential to have completed the military service. However, the applications of candidates with deferred military obligation are accepted for those branches to be determined by the MIT Undersecretariat within the framework of requirements.

In addition to the above-mentioned fundamental requirements, the qualifications which the candidates must have vary depending on the field in which the candidate is to be employed. The qualifications that candidates must have for the branches in which there is need for personnel and for which announcements are made are detailed in the related announcements.
