DIRECTORS OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY SERVICE BIOGRAPHIES
Ziya SELIŞIK (1900-1966)
He was born in 1900 in Kirsehir and graduated from the War College. After he
served at various ranks in the Turkish Armed Forces, on August 25, 1938 he started
to work at the Directorate of National Security Service (MAH). Having served
at different positions in the organization, he was appointed as the Director
of the Service during the period of June 3, 1960 - January 17, 1961 for the
first time and during the period of August 29, 1964-July 13, 1965 for the second
time.
Ziya SELIŞIK, who spoke French and German, retired on July 13, 1965 because
of age limit and died in 1966.
