Mehmet Fuat DOĞU (1914-2004 )

  He was born in 1914 in Istanbul and is a graduate of the War College. After serving at various ranks of the Turkish Armed Forces, he was appointed to the Directorate of National Security Service (MAH) on September 14, 1954 as Staff Lieutenant Colonel. Having worked at different positions, he was appointed for the first time on August 27, 1962 as the Director of the MAH with the rank of Staff Colonel and held this post until August 25, 1964. Then, on the same date, he was appointed to the Command of the 59th Division in Sivas.

Mehmet Fuat DOĞU was appointed as the Undersecretary of the MIT on March 01, 1966 for the second time and held this post until July 23, 1971. Subsequent to his Membership to the Inspection Board of the General Staff, he retired from the Turkish Armed Forces as Lieutenant General in the same year and served as Ambassador to Lisbon for 7 years until 1978.

Mehmet Fuat DOĞU, died on May 31, 2004.
